Students considering dental and medical careers are highly encouraged to volunteer to get the feel of their prospective profession in action. Working with underserved populations allow students to witness dental and medical needs firsthand while gaining valuable experience assisting the dentist, medical doctor, dental hygienist and nurse under field conditions.

GFDHA welcomes students 18 years of age as independent volunteers or age 15 or older if accompanied by an adult. GFDHA projects provide a window into another culture and a chance to work alongside local partners in a remote, very different part of the world.
